The day that we signed our lease on our current home, I had no idea that we would not only move into the most beautiful home, but into the most incredible neighborhood as well. It has been such a gift to continuously meet incredible people in a great community!

During this pandemic and stay-at-home order, many of us have been unable to do our jobs or have had to become creative to make them work. When I started seeing photographers doing front porch sessions, I KNEW that I had to jump in. I offered my hood “6 Foot Sessions” and, you guys, I have been able to meet so many of my neighbors as a result (with social distancing in place of course!). There have been so many good things that have come out of these shoots. One of my favorites is that part of the profit is going to Northview to help those who have been affected by COVID-19 and need food and groceries. For my clients as well as my family, it helps give us an avenue to make a difference, even if it’s just a little bit. If I’ve learned anything over the years, we often find even more joy in giving than receiving! I also love that it’s given some neighbors a little something to look forward to in the midst of all the chaos in our world right now, even if it’s just time to climb out of leggings and sweatpants to get ready for something for the first time in weeks. We all need a little something to look forward to!

This awesome family was the first in the hood to jump on board and we had a blast. Little Miss C simultaneously made me gush and broke my heart when she wanted to give me a hug and then invited me over to a sleepover! I hated telling her I couldn’t hug her, but she definitely settled for some air high fives! Also, check out these pear trees that are in bloom along our streets right now! I’m going to be so sad when they aren’t all white anymore!
