This might be one of my favorite times of the year here in Indiana. School has just let out, the temperature teeters back and forth between sweatshirt weather and shorts, and the light stretches towards the end of the day. Top all of it off with a sweet family with easy smiles, playful laughter and a way about them that makes me want to grab an ice cream cone with them afterwards….and I’ve got myself an incredible photo session.
We met at Coxhall Gardens in Carmel. I always feel like a kid in a candy store when I photograph at a new location and this park definitely felt like a candy store. It had so many little nooks and crannies at every turn that made for the perfect location. It was also sweet that this is a place that Emily and her family frequent, making it even more meaningful for them.
