Christa and Jake // Wedding

Today is Christa and Jake’s one year anniversary. I may be a little late to tie up last year’s resolution to post every session (that my clients are ok with me posting), but I figure I still have some time before I have any photo shoots in 2015. I have a wee bit of work to do in this next week if I’m going to finish this goal! And I figure, if I’m going to post their wedding a little late, maybe their anniversary is a good day for it? Maybe? Well, I’m going with it anyway.

I love weddings like Christa and Jake’s. It was full of laughter, joy, really good people, lots of family, a faithful commitment to each other before God, and a whole lot of love. They were absolutely a dream to work with and I really can’t picture Christa’s face without a smile on it every time we talked.

Enjoy their photos and give them a little love for their very first anniversary!!! I hope you two have had such a wonderful year!!!

I knew I wanted to place this dress here (with the salon owner’s permission, of course), but the hanger would just not stay. Caleb, the videographer (who was awesome, btw), had the idea to use a pole that he had and we each took turns hanging the dress by the pole that we had to hold while standing on a chair to the side. I’ll admit, that dress was heavy. Caleb made it look super easy and then when it was my turn to climb up there and hold it, I was sweating it, arms shaking, praying I could hold on to that thing while he took shots of it. All in all, it was worth the work because I love how these dress shots turned out! I’ll have to show a little before and after sometime soon!
