Helvey Family

This little shoot was pretty special :). Selena and I met our freshman year at college and got really close our last couple of years. We also lived in a house together with 7 girls all together (so many stories right there). After college, I moved to Arizona and she and her husband, Brad, moved off to Colorado and then Alaska. A few years ago, they moved back to Indiana. When I moved back last year, Selena and I easily picked up where we left off and I could not be more grateful for the friendship that she has given me. It’s been so much fun to reconnect and see our children become the best of friends as well. She’s been such a sweet gift to me, you know, the type of friend that I can share all the good and the hard with.

We FINALLY figured out a time to get her family in front of my lens and it was perfect timing for their ten year anniversary as well. Sometimes things just work out how they are meant too, huh?
