“Oh YOU’RE Jenny Spires?” I laughed when she said it and quickly answered, “Yes!”
Just a week before, I sat as the new, nervous girl at the purple table amongst 8 or 9 other mamas of toddlers. I had just joined the MOPS group at my church and spent that first week “speed-friending (yes, we really played that game and it was awesome! Such a great way to meet people and break the ice.), talking over breakfast and listening to our first speaker. That’s where I met Jenna, so I assumed when she emailed me a few days later for a mini session that it was because we had met. Little did I know that she had just clicked on a link that a mutual friend had shared on fb because she liked the work…and it just happened to be mine. So when she saw me at our photo session, she was pretty surprised that we had already met!
I love fun coincidences like that :). And I love even more that I’ve been able to get to know Jenna as we dig a little deeper each month and do this thing called “raising toddlers” as a community and not all on our own.
