Ehrgott Family

I was headed to a neighboring town with my sister-in-law when we drove past this amazing field. “I need something  just like that,” I told her, “for a client this coming weekend.” I went on to tell her that I needed something open, natural and really grassy. Kind of like Arizona, but not. I rambled a bit more about how my client loved the sunshine and the look of some of my Arizona shoots that I had done. This had made me laugh, of course, because most of my Arizona clients had always wanted a little more of Indiana. After I finished my long spiel, she finally cooled me off to tell me that not only did she know the owners of the land that I had gone on and on about, but that she would call them and see if I could shoot there.

What??? Seriously??

And she did. And we met there. And it was beautiful.

This family was amazing. My favorite kind. The were tons of fun and really relaxed and let me have tons of fun in my new-found field. Tammy is an awesome photographer as well and I have to admit that there is always something a little extra fun about photographing fellow creatives….and their families! Can you tell that those kiddos were super comfortable in front of the camera?? I’ve also been able to get to know this sweet crew throughout the year since our little girls are (were..) in the same preschool class last year. I’ve been so very thankful for an easy friendship that I’ve found in Tammy, being the new girl on the block. I’ve found that it’s much more difficult to make friends with this move  and this stage of life than it was when I was younger and having a friendly face every time I pick up Maya at school has been so nice. 🙂
