Last week one of my favorite people and closest friends called me on a whim, I have four people asking for headshots of me and I was wondering if we could get them done fast. Yes, I told her, of course.
I showed up to her house a couple of days later with her entire family in check. I put Maya down to play with the kids and Karie’s sister swooped to run her upstairs to make her even more beautiful. The rest of us followed the kids outside to catch up and within minutes, Karie came out looking downright fantastic. My jaw dropped to the floor and even I wanted to take her on a date. She showed me a photo of the look we wanted and we all practiced our smizing with her while I eyed the light around us.
And this is all it took; 10 minutes in the perfect light of her very own backyard. I might be obsessed of these photos of her. They are so simple, but she is just breathtaking and I am so happy to be able to give her these moments. I love knowing that she’ll always think of more than just the surface image when she sees them. She’ll think about that day with her sisters all home surrounding her. Picking out just the right jewelry and the quiet moment doing her hair. And then sifting through each one when they were finished and all together picking just the right ones.

As the owner of Connect the Dots Promotions, Karie is one of the most honest, passionate business women I know. I’ve been able to watch her career grow in the last few years and I couldn’t be more proud of her and where she has come. She’s had to make some very tough desisions based on her faith and trust in the Lord. I feel as if I’ve grown so much in my own journey through watching her strength in all of this. She strives to be in the top of her industry in marketing and truly connects to people in a way that makes them feel like they are old friends. Everyone needs a Karie in their life (just as a friend or even if you need some marketing jobs done –yep, that’s a plug!).
