Two days after my sweet Maya was born (YES she's here…check over on my family blog for updates!!!), Charlie made is appearance as well. Walking through this pregnancy with my good friend, Robin, has been absolutely incredible. It was such a gift to have such a good friend (several actually) to go through this journey with. How fun it was to compare our bellies, ultrasounds, belly buttons, weight gain, tears, joy, and anticipation with someone so close. I feel as if we grew into a deeper friendship because of it. I am so thankful.
And now, after a long awaited time, both of our babies are here. I couldn't be more proud of them both. Two healthy, beautiful babies. We've hung out a couple of times since they were born and I've had so much fun starting over with the comparisons…but not with us mama's anymore! I love how Charlie isn't quite as dainty as Maya. That he's a little more 'boy-ish' than she. I love his mouth and the color of his hair. It's even amazing at how different he sounds than her.
And yes, Maya, you have my permission to marry Charlie. But no dating..just marry him when you are 25. Jump straight to it! I'm totally that mom right now already setting up my child for marriage, huh? But let's be honest. I couldn't desire a better family and I pray that Charlie or not, Maya will be blessed someday to marry into a family like this one. They are so wonderful.
And of course, I couldn't make a visit without my camera. Babies are fun…because in just a handful of moments, Charlie gave me all of these wonderful poses! Good job buddy!
