I.love.this.family. I had so much fun hanging out with my friend Kristi and her family right after her son Brayden was born. I headed to their house after a church picnic and hung around capturing the new life in their home. You may remember this family from here and here. It's always fun to be able to watch children and families grow through my lens. It's kind of crazy to me that I've been doing this long enough now to do so! I love it.
I know I sorta posted this one already, but I can't stop loving it. I love the composition and the subdued color. I got to hold this little man the other night and he is a natural cuddler. He turns in and just wants to be as close to you as possible.
We had this scarf to super swaddle Brayden in. I took a couple on the floor too, but I ended up liking this one while he was picked up better.
I don't usually do shots like this, but Kristi had some white backdrop that we decided to play with (she does photography too and has some fun stuff at her house!). This shot was actually a test shot for lighting and I ended up adoring it. Of course on white back drop, we need to do black and whites though, right? :). It seems to call for it.
Poor Brayden was not having this. I missed the comfort of warmth and someone holding him closely. I still like it.
Ha! Another 'accident' shot that I liked.
Do you see the little rollies on the back of his head?? Ahhh.
I still think he looks just like his sister.
Big girl! I can't get over how grown up she is.
Jaclyn loving Brayden. Five, four, three, two, one and…..she's done :). Off to play, get the shot fast!
Yup, I'm singing something insane right now like Sticky Bubble Gum or Slippery Fish (my other job comes in handy knowing 42 different Circle Time songs) and making the whole fam laugh. What I do for the shot!!!
Per request of Kristi. Great idea!!
Life unscripted. My favorites.
Another unscripted shot that I like.
Yes, this is my favorite shot of the day. Don't ask me why I like the one where Brayden is screaming his little lungs off, but I think it is too sweet for words. So real.
Caught them hanging out watching tv and playing while Mommy fed the baby. Love these sweet little moments.
Thanks Stone Family! Love you guys!! Waiting for our game of Settlers of Catan soon :).
