Last weekend I had the honor of shooting Alex & Danny's wedding and it was SUCH A BLAST! Being able to share a day with two people is such a gift to be a part of- especially two people who are simply meant to be. This wedding was particularly fun as I knew SO many people (half of which you'll probably recognize somewhere on my blog!) and was able to be at ease while I worked…which seemed so much more like playing!
Danny & Alex met at church when Danny was still in grade school and Alex in middle school. Early on, Danny had his eyes set on this beautiful girl and it is evident now how much love they have for one another.
Alex's day started early and I joined her at her house to catch her getting ready. Her fantastic make-up was done by Kim with Kim Artistry and looked ah-mazing!!!
I love this picture of Alex as she takes in a quiet moment.
She was so calm and peaceful! …not to mention beautiful!
LOVED her shoes. I'm a big fan of bold colors and fun shoes on the wedding day!
Both of their rings are sitting on Alexandra's grandmothers hankerchief- an heirloom that each of her sisters have all held onto on their each of their wedding days. You can't see it, but both of their rings have bible verses engraved on the inside. I love how they've used them to represent their faith for always.
Beautiful girl. Gorgeous.
So…I had the hardest time narrowing down photos of her. I had so many to choose from..
Check out the yellow bridesmaids shoes!
All her colors were pulled from this bouquet.
This group was super fun. They were game for all kinds of poses…actually, most of them were their ideas coming in!! This was supposed to be the 'i'm-in-a-band' pose.
Check out the height.
We had to be careful as we took the boys pictures right under the room where the girls got ready. I had Alex lean out and wouldn't let Danny turn around. How cute is this?
One of my favorites of the day.
First dance.
I can't get over how they are so into each other!
They had a candy bar that I wish I woulda had a bit more time for :). I did sneak a swedish fish once or twice…shh!
So..Alex's three sisters suprised her with a choreographed dance to the song "Sisters". Hilarious.
Gettin' the party started! Danny bustin' out some old school sunglasses.
Naughtier than nice.. :).
Check out this massive group of hungry single guys just dying to get the garter. I've never seen so many guys jump up for this at a wedding!! It was super funny!
Mr. and Mrs. Sluyk everyone!
Danny & Alex, I pray that God blesses you with a wonderful and a joyful marriage! You two are amazing! Thanks for letting me be a part of your day!!!
