..and Buddy too! I've known LeeAnne for over a year now and I'm pretty sure she's been looking for whatever reason she can find to do a shoot! So when Christmas came (yep…it's another phantom post that should've been put up like..8 years ago), she jumped on the opportunity to get family pictures done for her Christmas card! I was so excited!!
I was pretty excited about doing this shoot, because a) I adore LeeAnne. I think she is one of the most fabulous people I've ever met. She works hard, she has a ginormous heart, and she is an ah-mazing friend b) they were bringing their dog, Buddy. I hadn't shot many pets …any pets before and was pretty excited for the creative challenge of posing a dog. c) they let me pick one of their location spots that I hadn't been able to shoot at before. Super fun. I sort of like it when clients give me one of the reigns. I tend to get ideas and get antsy until I can follow them through.
Without further ado, here's what we got! I loved the whole shoot!
Their outfits may be my favorite outfits in a shoot to date. I told them not to be afraid of print.. and voila! Love it!
Enter Buddy. Aka 'The Monster.'
When I was thinking about what I was going to do with their humongous
dog, Buddy, I envisioned lots of pictures with all three of them.. then
maybe I would hold the dog and one-handedly shoot Thomas and LeeAnne
together. Uh……..nope. Wrong. When they showed up with LeeAnne's
best friend Lacey in tote, I realized there would be no one handed
anything with Buddy running the show. Thank the Lord that they brought
her…we would have never have made it!!
This is my favorite picture of the shoot. It is so very telling :). Check out Thomas and LeeAnne's faces.
There is definitely a treat hanging over my left shoulder… ha!
Calming down…calming down :).
Treat stage right.
This is what they used for their Christmas card!
Sweet calm Buddy. I really do love this dog, I swear.
This might end up as a large canvas in their living room. LeeAnne is the greatest lover of Chucks that I know. She has…..I can't remember, but A LOT of shoes. Whelp, take away several pairs that Buddy has eaten and she still has a lot. Check out their matching brown ones!
Like how you can see Thomas in the window….if you look really hard!
Here is LeeAnne and Lacey (the Dog Whisperer). Thanks Lacey for helping!
Thomas is such a stud. He's got his police-officer-I'm-gonna-write-you-a-ticket-for-loitering-around-private-buildings look. Actually, he's a pretty funny guy.. two seconds after this he was busting up laughing for some "laughing pictures." At least I was laughing. Maybe you had to be there.
Uh…Thomas? Eyes forward please?
Thanks guys for rocking this shoot with me! I had so much fun! Love you guys!
