You might recognize this fabulous family from a shoot I did last year. So when Kyla called to say that her sister's family was in town from out of state and wanted to book a shoot and-could-my-family-do-a-shoot-at-the-same-time, I jumped to say yes. I'm so glad I did. Both families were gorgeous and I had so much fun, despite the already plummeting heat in June.
The day of the shoot, I was pretty excited as the skies were blanketed in thick, dense, red clouds from a fire that had been burning the prior two days. It was pretty incredible to see. I took this shot the night before the shoot from my the roof of my building. During the shoot, the already crimson clouds showed an even more musty red light as the sun set and cast a red tint upon everything. I loved it.
Here is Kyla and her sister Kristel, who are both pretty much stunning.
And cousins Riley and Eric. I adore how her bitty hand is holding his face.
On the other side of the iron fence she spotted a hummingbird and was so giddy about it.
You can tell how much it captivated her. I think the shot below shows such an innocent, magical moment.
Little Eric made his way over to see what the fuss was about.
The photo below is one where I tried to utilize the dim-red light. I tried to play on it with a texture to give it the look of an old and worn photograph. I'm pretty much in love with how beautiful and serene it turned out.
Playing on my textured-art in the photo. I could blow the next two up into huge canvases and plaster them on my walls because I love them so much…if my condo wasn't so small.
I could pretty much eat this one with a spoon.
And yes, baby makes four.
I'm pretty sure the story behind this series cannot be revealed…just take my word for it. She said something very funny! And I'm very thankful that the camera happened to be straight on her when she said it..the whole series went down in a matter of seconds.
Yep, another wall hanging. Ahhh…
The whole fam.
So sweet.
The heat went up for these two.. when I asked them to kiss, they had no problem. 🙂
I love how she is looking at him.
I couldn't resist putting these in a grouping as well. Their interactions were priceless.
Thanks for letting me hang out and photograph you all! It was a blast!
