When I first met them a year ago, Sophia thought I was Jenny from Sesame Street Live. She had just gone to see the show and was so sure that I was her. She talked to me about Big Bird and looked at me with shy, admirable eyes. It took a bit of convincing, but I was soon just regular Jenny who had no ties with anyone from Elmo's neighborhood.
A year later, and our third photo shoot together, I arrived and Sophia looked at me with those same shy and admirable eyes that she did when we first met. Only now I'm Jenny who takes pictures. I've loved to watch Sophia and JC grow in the past year. If' you've read the blog at all, you'll surely recognize this family. All three times we've shot at their home where we all remained relaxed and comfortable. I love it that each time I challenge myself to find something new and unique, even though I'm dealing with the same clients and the same location. I love that all three times we have come up with a unique shoot.
When I arrived that morning, the kids greeted me in their pajamas. I loved it because Mom waited for me to get there to run her outfit ideas across me. While she finished picking out the clothes, I took the opportunity to get the kids in their pj's and bedhead while they played together in Sophia's bed.
Isn't it so cute how he's looking at her here?
And it's really cool when Mom tells you that you can jump in your bed!
I'm so loving this hair, especially with that look he's giving me ;).
She actually took me to this spot and wanted her picture in this chair. We did the cute lollipop picture here last time.
I LOVED their family pictures! The lighting was perfect under this tree, even though it was high Arizona sun with NO clouds at this point!
This spot was Sophia's idea too. Family portraits were postponed until we got some of her with the flowers!
